How do you make whipped cream without using heavy cream?

im making banana pudding and would like to use some kinda homemade whipped cream. every recipe i find wants me to use heavy cream to make the whiped cream. is there any way i can make homemade cream without heavy cream?!?! isheavy cream something like half and half or creamer used in coffee?
