How do you make yellowing shirts that really brillant white again

my school shirt has gone a slightely yellow colour- is there a way you can make it a brillant white?

Dolly D's got it right.  I just did that with two of my white shirts and they are really, really white!

BUY BLEACH, AND SOAK THEM IT. THEN, AFTER SOAKING THEM, RINSE THEM OUT AND DRY THEM

Borax & Hot water. Swish the borax around until it is dissolved. Soak the shirts for a couple of hours & add to the wash cycle  .

Bleach - White King.

It is brilliant use it on my toddlers cloths. I swear  by it - better than napisan

ps.   make sure you purchase white king specifically for cloths as the other bleaches can leave a awful smell on your cloths.  the white king particularly to whiten  cloths give it a nice lemon smell.

That is easy !!  Fill your washing machine with water...add a cup of bleach and your detergent.  Let it agitate to mix it well.  Add the shirt and shut the machine off so that the shirt can sit in the bleach mixture for at least 2 hours.  Then turn the machine on and let it run the full wash cycle.

soak in bleach for a few hours--then add oxyclean powder

soak it in bleach overnight

should come out nice and white :)

Napisan (fabric nappy/diaper soaker) available on baby aisle of supermarkets, or hot biological detergent and leave them to soak overnight.
