How do you make your basketball team a better team?

1. Well the first thing to do is to do a lot of drills.

2. Then practice the drill for 2-3 weeks.

3. Next make some good plays and number them so when you get a fast break you can say 1,2,3,4,etc

4. Then practice the plays for 4-6 weeks or shorter.

5. make sure that every one know all the plays so run the plays and mix them up to make sure that your team realy nows the plays and move with out even thinking of what to do.

uve jus gotta works as a team! & ourside of ur practices every1 has 2 go home & work 2!!! u & ur team have 2 have good comuntication & sportsmanship 2 even step on the road 2 become a better  team!! Evaluate each individual player.... find their playing flaws and predictables and work on them....   If a player has a certain way they do specific things the opposing team will eventually pick up on them and use them to their own advantage....   teach a cautious player to be a little more adventurous,   teach an over zealous play to exhibit a little caution when warranted...  There are an infinite number of ways to incorporate the tools necessary to play a good game... one of the easiest ways to improve the overall is to improve the individual..... teach team work, but individualism too... teach each play to vary their techniques in each given aspect of the game.... don't let them get stuck in only one way to achieve the same goal..... don't break the rules to accomplish this either.  There will always be something that can be improved upon.... just look for the signs....each individual play is going to have that one thing they do better than anything else....just try to improve their lesser skills too.

before practice and everything, get leadership on your team. make sure you have one guy with a lot of leadership qualities. he doesnt have to be an all star. (luol deng)

then find a guy who is good at passing. maybe a point guard or a small forward. he doesnt have to shoot, just pass. a person who can set up passes

the main thing is to be strategic. cover for one players flaws with anothers strenght.

next, find a guy who isnt great, but reliable. (ben gordon)

finally increase your teams morale by giving them talks and practicing. make sure they know that you care about them.

Increase their morale. Practice longer and harder. Set drills and make everyone friends with each other. Make really good plays and try your best.
