  1. you need to have your remote wire hooked to a switch power wire (means that its only hot when to key is turned) not a constant power wire, all you need to tell the difference is a $5 test light

  2. yeah hook it to the remote wire from head unit or you can use a toggle switch wire the switch to the amp and thats it either will work

  3. it should be a darkish blue with white stripes, which goes directly from your deck to your amp

if u want u can put i switch in the line to have direct control

  4. if u do have a head unit just hook the blue wire to the blue wire on back of head unit thats ur remote but if u have a factory radio just go to ur fuse box and put the wire to the fuse that says ignition and that will power on and off the amp everytime the key is turned forward

  5. Run a fused (1 amp, 14 AWG) wire from a fuse in the fuse panel that only has power when the car is ON to one side of a switch. From the other side of the switch run the same sized wire to the REM (remote) connection on the amp.

This allows for full control and you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the amp. The switch is so you can turn off the amp at will so as not to give grandma a heart attack in the car.

You can find fuse taps and in-line fuse holders at any autoparts store.
