  1. listen to your heart <3

  2. You mean "accept". Clearly your family care for you and just want to see the best for you. They are probably worried about his past for sure. The best thing for you to do is to sit down with them and have a serious talk about your relationship and how you feel about your boyfriend. Tell them you'd really appreciate if they kept an open mind about him and invite him over for dinner so they can get to know him better.

I know it could be hard and awkward for all of you, but I think it's worth a try.

However sometimes there is no hope. My parents and sister really disliked my ex, but it was probably for good reason.

  3. if he's a nice guy now then they shouldnt have a problem

just show them the side of the guy that makes you like him =)

  4. oh thats bad. i dont think your family will accept him now.

i guess you can try to just tell them that you really love him and that he's changed.

  5. You can't make your family accept your boyfriend.  I've been trying for two years and I've finally accepted that you should take your family's advice on him into consideration, but when it comes down to it, you are the one dating him, not your family.

  6. You need to sit your whole family down and tell them, yes, he was a druggie, but now he has got his act together. You just have to be honest with them to gain their trust.Eventually they will start to accept your boyfriend. I had a friend who was like that and my family was worried too, but all you have to do is keep telling them that it is okay and that you can handle yourself, if he should go back to doing drugs.

  7. Always talk about the good qualities that your boyfriend has. Convince them that your boyfriends past is the past.

  8. Used to do drugs?  And he's clean and sober?  Are you sure?

  9. I have been dating my boyfriend since i have been 17 im 23 his past has not been so great NO DRUGS but lots a fighting. (with other people) It took them a LONG time to accept him. But when they realized that we loved each other and things werent going to change they just accepted him and now love him!
