How do you make your legs stronger to run faster?

i do a lot of sprints and running at race pace but when i always run at race pace, my legs by the second lap feel like they are going to fall off. i want to know how to make your legs stronger. are there anything i should work on at the gym for my legs? is there any exercises i could do homw without equipment? plx help me.

  1. Second lap of a 400m track? You need more endurance to run like that. If you're running 800m at race pace then you need to run at least twice that to get your body used to running that DISTANCE. So running a couple miles will help make it easier to run the 800m faster and better. Lifting can help to make your upper body stronger. Which makes you a stronger runner essentially. Being hydrated properly will help make you a better runner too. Email me if you have any more questions.  


  2. do squats great for you thigh muscle and also run hills or stadium bleachers great for the calf muscles
