Polymer clay works really well , you can get it at any Craft store ;)))

i know of sculpting with sculpey clay. you make a wire frame of the body. add body to it with tin foil so you dont have to have a thick amount of clay (sculpey can only be something like 1/4 or 1/2 inch thick at its thickest parts) then put sculpey over over the tin foil form and sculpt the details. use turpentine with a brush and sculpting tools to smooth it out.

seal with a glossy sculpey brand sealer for a plasticy look..

of course this isnt going to be able to move...  :/ but itll look cool..
