  1. you can buy synethic putting greens and the company can come in and install it. that would be the easiest to maintain and will be a better standard than a normal grass green

  2. it would be very hartd to do correctly. practise greens can cost up to $100,000 to make in golf clubs. your ground would be too soft and bumpy and its unrealist as a DIY job. i would suggest a astro-turf style one if your desperate, or you could splash out a few grand to get one made proffesionally.

  3. try useing dye (green dye) =)

    hope it works!

  4. cost is about $1500 starting, this depends on the size, contours ets. The biggest part is drainage. You can buy good hand mowers that will do a resonable job for practice purposes.Second hand is good enough.

If you live in Ak you could try Grant at Waiupa Bulk Haulage. He has a company that can do them.

    Good luck

  5. The equipment to mow the green if you actually spent the money on installing it would cost as much as the green it self..There especially made lawnmowers for golf coarse greens....Plus the up keep..This is an expensive venture, with money needed for care after its installed yearly..and don't forget water..you'll need to water this every night..I know i worked at a golf coarse for two summers as a teenager..

  6. The biggest problem isn't making it, but maintaining it. Even on the lowest level, a regular lawnmower simply won't cut the grass low enough. The lowest level model Toro sells is $3,600.

You're best off with an artificial turf setup. Here are some instructions:

  7. Get out the lawnmower, put it on the lowest setting then mow in your desired shape.

    Boom!

    You've got a putting green.
