  1. My coach just looks at it like a game that he has to try his hardest in to get the victory. He knocks people out cold by doing this

  2. It depends what kind of fighter you are...

Agressive fighters need to "psyc" (spelling?) themselfs up.

Where as for passive fighters will stay calm and they tend to do better than agressive fighters....

But if you really want to get angry, try pain or try umagine that persone doing something cruel to something/someone you love...

  3. if youre not angry why are you fighting?

  4. Some people need to get all psyched up and mad before a fight, but I fought competitively for 20 years and always did my best to stay calm and focused. I have known fighters that needed to get fired up and mad to fight well, but that always caused me to lose some of my focus and just go out swinging wild rather than fighting intelligently and sticking to my game plan for the fight. I always just kind of thought, I have to execute my gameplan on him or he is going to put a hurting on me and that generally got me focused enough to go out and perform. Now like anybody who has spent any real amount of time fighting competitively I've had my share of loses, but several of those did come in fights where I let something get me angry and I just couldn't perform as well then.

    Good luck!!

  5. I don't know if thats a good idea.

  6. think of something to make you angry! duhhhhhhhhhhh

  7. think of somebody you hate the most and imagine your facing them.

  8. You do not want to fight with anger as your technique will then go out the window. You do need to fight with aggression. How you make yourself aggressive is up to you. You should train so well that you can switch your aggression on and off, just like a light switch. Some of my students tell me that they try and become aggressive because they do not want to lose (They picture themselves all beaten up by their opponent). A few students have pictured the opponent picking on their younger siblings.

    I hope this helps.

  9. No it's the opposite. If you had no idea what you were doing then anger would help cause you have no info in your mind to cloud anyway

In that situation then mabey The exstra adrendlin rush and emotion will empower you

  10. Isn't it great when we watch the TV and the fighters come out and ACT like they are all pissed off just so the show will get more ratings?

Yeah, Do you really believe that these guys are that pissed off at each other?

    Yeah, Um uuuuh No.

You get angry, you make mistakes, you loose.

If you can think of fighting as a sort of chess game you will do much better.

    Good Luck

  11. Someone hurting all the cute little bunny wunnies.

  12. Arrange yourself to be donkeypunched, you will always be mad enough to fight. Well if your still reading and serious you need to learn to focus and REMAIN IN CONTROL OF YOUR EMOTIONS IN COMBAT OR YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY.

  13. Your question should be "how to  make myself DETERMINED to win a fight" Asking this question means you don't have much experience fighting and that you have serious work ahead of you. It's not a bad thing. You can't learn anything if you don't ask. If this is a real question, only you can find what motivates you. If it is truly anger then good luck with that.

  14. You don't need to be angry, it will make you prone to mistakes.

Think of it as business, professional.  Your job is to win the fight.

If you are better, then you will win.

    James

  15. I don't get angry just focused.

  16. I don't!

Why get in a fight in the first place?

"if you are not angry enough you will get beaten up"...

    WHO SAYS SO?

(Every teacher that I ever had said quite the opposite!)

More anger means less self control.

The whole objective of martial arts is SELF CONTROL.

  17. why would you want to get angry before a fight, your suppossed to be calm and in control if you can't control your self how can you control the fight. to stay calm is to stay in control calm is best, if your calm your looser sharper and will last longer anger drains your energy.? is this not one of the basic fundermentals of all boxing and martial arts clubs. It is in any i've been in, and i've been in half the boxing and kickboxing gyms in England Scotland  Ireland and wales, what with being an ex pro boxer and kickboxer and needing a gym local to where i'm fighting. i fort evrybody new anger is your enemy, its no difrent to sparring apart from the intent to hit him harder, and that shouldn't need you to be angry you should be in control of whats going on  not your anger ,because anger will control you try being nice and calm theres nothing to be mad about your just getting in the ring doing you thing and going home no problem, its just like playing football or tennis your an athlete doing your chosen sport don't make a sceen of it. relax and do your thing mate O and enjoy your self more in ther

  18. That's really ignorant of you.

The most calm fighters can throw the fastest punches, respond quicker, and will whoop anyone who is simply fighting mad

  19. I find being hit in the face by an opponent gets me really mad. After that I'm well ahead. What I do is mainly semi-contact but there are blokes who lack control and I give as good as I get.

  20. I've been training in martial arts for almost 15 years, and I have ran a Kung Fu school for 5.  In my honest opinion, if you're angry whilst fighting, you make mistakes, and most of which can be brutal to yourself.  I have known many students who have got into a fight and lost because they were provoked and led themselves into being wound up (angry).

The second part of your question QUOTE:  "if you are not angry enough you will get beaten up" is a load of rubbish.  If you are focused, your techniques will be better, more controlled, and more "useful".  How can anyone think straight if they are angry?

  21. If your fighting spirit isn't instantly aroused at the 1st sign of danger you are not being trained or training properly. In really bad situations there is no time to get mad and the other guy isn't going to wait for you to "get mad".

Anything else you walk away from.

If you wish to destroy someone 1st make him mad.

  22. Anger is your enemy in a fight. I love it when an opponent gets angry. I talk trash throughout the fight to try to get them mad at me.

When you allow anger to enter the picture, you make mistakes. When you are angry, you are trying to hurt your opponent. That makes you really load up on your punches or kicks. All you end up doing is leaving yourself open.

Never allow anger in the ring with you.

Anger = stupidity in a fight.

  23. Kick yourself in the balls!

  24. No when your mad you cant focus, aggression is distracting you from keeping focus. By remaining calm you initiate more techniques and keeps you focused. The most calm fighter has an really high chance of ending the fight. Agressive fighters have a low chance of winning a fight but if they do win they will end up with serious injuries. But if you want to be angry then just think of mean thoughts.

  25. picture your opponents demise!!!!!!!!! muhahahahahahaha
