How do you make yourself popular?

just wonder how people manage to do it...

The best at math, basketball, the best Car, usually being the best at any Sport [drives the girls wild, ya'know], music, smart, good-looking, rich, strongest ...

Just be the Best at one thing, and you make all kinds of 'friends'.

Well, being a well-rounded, kind-hearted, authentic self doesn't always win you popularity. Sometimes, the ones that are people-pleasing and superficial seem to win popularity. I mean look at how many people actually pay attention to "the dirt" and less to the best things in the world. So if all you're concerned with is being popular, then I don't believe that being yourself is the answer. Of course in my opinion, there are more important/meaningful things to pursue in life than popularity.

Well.. There's no way you can make yourself really popular.. Me being really popular myself should know this..

You need to get recognised.. socialize with other people.. don't sit and ignore everyone.. there's a whole world out there full of friends and people companions etc.. that you can talk to .. Being popular on the other hand isn't easy though.. Not 1 bit!.. when you walk up the school corridors and everyone looks at you and maybe you have two bezzies with you , let's say your mascara's smudged.. everyone would laugh.. it's never happened to me before.. and hopefully it never will .. But sometimes it can get hard when everyone come's up to you and there like Oh My gosh . Its  ___ all the time.. 24/7 .. no joke..

It's great knowing that your popular..  It's not like in the movies..

I would say there's a LOT of competition these days..

But there's one thing you need to know.. Being popular does not mean that you have to be mean.! Just cause in mean girls they are like that dosen't mean its real life..

people are popular becase they fit in with the big crowds

at high school i never understood the 'populars' its just that everyone knows them, they have money and lots friends

they are also very shallow people.

so be yourself and dont try to be a label. you dont need them.

and anyway after high school everyone moves on and gets forgotten about!

you have to be yourself. People are drawn to interesting people, you can't really make yourself popular. People who try really hard end up coming off looking worse than someone who isn't popular but dares to be different. Popular people are well liked, or at least were at some point, things sometimes change once they feel powerful.
