How do you market a television pilot?

If you've got a good idea for a television pilot, and you're pretty sure you could write it effectively... what do you do after that? How do you market it?

You first need to go to this website and read up on the american writers guild, they have a union and you will probably have to join to get started, they have a union for the east coast and west coast, you can tell them your idea and you never know.
