  1. weigh it and then every pound is 16 ounces so just multiply it by 16 =)

  2. Since you're not buying a scale, a digital postal scale cost only $20 to $25, the general rule of thumb is 3 ounces of chicken or fish is about the size of a standard deck of playing cards.

Also, the best thing to do when on a diet is to eliminate as much fat as possible and exercise.

    Good luck on your diet!

  3. 16oz is equal to a pound. So look at how much your chicken weighs when you buy it and divide it approx to get the correct weight. So half a pound would be 8oz

  4. a serving of meat is the size of a deck of cards and equal thickness.

that is going to give you your 4 oz serving NO scale required

best wishes on your weight loss success

  5. well find out the number of lbs because it's usually in measurements of lbs and then to convert that number into oz, multiply the number of lbs by 16.

  6. that's tough to do without a scale.  #1) ask the butcher at your local market to portion it out for you and wrap it up, they will be happy to do it...  or #2) buy your chicken and fish in weights that will evenly split into 4 oz. portions...so, buy a 12 oz fish fillet and eyeball it into 3 pieces.

scale is the best.  if you have a dollar store near you, you can buy one there.  they work pretty well for everything but baking.

    good luck!
