  1. The thing will increase in speed according to the gravity and air resistance.  


  2. One way is to freeze its positions after regular intervals of time on a camera film. Measure the distance, divide it by time to get average speed.

    Vo = the first velocity

  4. If you are doing an experiment in lab

    First take the length from the place you drop the object,then take the time for the object to reach the ground.lastly divide the length by time

    But if you are looking on a natural phenomena hen you have to use these three formulae

       v^2=u^2+2as

      s=ut +  1/2at^2

      v= u + at

    Where a  = acceleration (10)

               s = displacement (distance)

              u  =   initial velocity

               v = final velocity

               t = Time  (second)
