How do you measure square feet of a 12feet X16feet room??

My mom might by this house and the room i would get is 12ftX16ft how many square feet is it for I can figure out how much it would cost to but new flooring in.

    I'm 13 and I know how to get the square footage of a room.

    192 sq. ft.
