How do you measure the tree of an english saddle?

URGENT! Selling VERY soon any potential buyers want to know the tree size! It is an all purpose english saddle.

Well I don't have good news for you...the way you measure a tree is with a special instrument that looks like a funny upside down U. But do not panic yet. You should be able to go to the local tack store and get them to measure it for you. You don't have tell them you are selling it online, just say you want to know. It will only take about 30 seconds to do, it is really easy.

i think you cut it off and count the rings....oops, that's how you tell the age !!!
