  1. Dip it into a solution of non-solvent in a volume measuring cylinder....and then take the new reading...then subtracting the previous reading from the new reading..........

  2. If your object is non-porus and does not react with a fluid you have handy (like water) then fill a graduated container with some fluid and immerse the object taking before and after readings and findng the volume displaced

If you don't have a fluid you could substitue sand or some other fine solid, used in the same way

lastly if the object is porus you will need to either seal the pores or if its a simple shame like a cube or sphere just measure it and calculate the volume by the typical formulas you can find in a variety of places

  3. there is a lot of complicated answers there its just (length times width times height)

  4. Here is a link that to a page that has equations for volumes of different types of geometric shapes.

If the object is a irregular shape you can get a measuring cup and fill it with water to a certain level.  Then place the item fully under the water.  Subtract the initial level from the new water level and you should have the volume in cups or milliliters.  You can convert this volume using a simple conversion factor which will be able to find on line.

  5. There are many ways to measure volume.

Volume is simply how much "space" and object takes up.

For regular shapes (cubes, prisms, cylinders, spheres, etc), there are formulas that you can find in many math books and online.

However, measuring irregular shapes can be tricky.

One way is to fill up a container with water. Knowing the original volume that is in the container, place the object you are trying to find the volume for in with the water, making sure the object is fully submerged in the water. Measure the water level now.

Subtract the new measure from the original measure and that is the volume of the object. If you are measuring the water in mL, you may have to convert to another non-liquid measure by using the fact that 1 mL equals 1 cm³.

  6. Fill a collaborated cup with 5  letters of water. Put in food coloring to make it easier to read.

put in the object that you want to measure and let the water rise.

Lets say that the water raised to 9 letters. The volume of that object would be 4 CC
