  1. Take the top of the pool table off an measure circumference of the slate an allow another 4 inches on all sides for tacking an stapling.

  2. i think you will find all of the green stuff is known as "baize"cushions the lot     don't know if you have considered the thickness of it        thinner baize is often faster   get that and catch out the pubs "hotshots"  be care full as it will rip easier

  3. A Stanley tape mesure works for me

Or give yourself 3 in extra all round you can trim as you go along   -AS always ill say hire a pro .its not as easy as they make it look

  4. if you go through a dealer and tell them wat size table u got  such as 8 ft, 9 ft , bb , they will know what size so it will save you the hassel !!! it is difficult to put new cloth on if uve never done it so once again agree with johnny on tat one !!!!

  5. Take the old cloth off and measure it first. Any table repairman will know the correct amount of cloth to use.

  6. Professional table fitters are best equipped to do the job of re-covering any pool/snooker table as there are specialist tools required to stretch the cloth etc.  The size isn't difficult to measure (tape measure does the trick) normally the length of the surface is double the width ie. 6x3, 8x4, 12x6 being a full size snooker table.

might help.. depends.. i mean you have to re-do the sides (bays) as well as just the top.

i would meassure the length / width of the top... - the wooden panels.. and add a few inch's all around for the bays etc..

or perhaps someone who sells the felt will know, as they probably have supplied felt for other people..
