  1. What you should do is do is turn your pole upside down and make a 90 degree angle with your hand and make sure the pole is at where your hand is.

If you like moguls go a little shorter. For Backcountry go longer. If you have any questions ask me or someone at the shop

  2. While standing up straight (with ski boots on or something similar height) hold your arm out with your elbow at a 90 degree angle. the level of your hand is where you want ytour pole to come.

  3. listen to morgan

  4. Morgan is correct with his explanation, add that the basket should be on top of your hand. If your pole is too long, they will interfere with your balance and ability to control your speed in the bumps. Too short and you will have no push with the pole for skating or climbing.

  5. The 90 dregrees part of your question meaning your arm should be at a 90 dregree angle because say you get stuck in some really deep snow it would be bad if your poles are too short longer poles are better in that case and also for pole planting in general for steeper slopes it helps you keep alot better control!

    hope i helped

    goodluck!
