  1. wake up, put two fingers on pulse spot on neck, count pulse for 15, 30, or 60 seconds. Longer, the more accurate. Times the 15 sec. one by 4, and the 30 sec. one by 2. Good luck!

  2. Make sure youve been resting (preferrably sitting) for a little bit, 15 min or so.  Then, take your pulse for 10 seconds, and multiply that number by 6 to get your resting heart rate.

  3. you can wake up and count how many beats you have in 15 seconds and multiply it by 4 or you can do it after you have been still or RESTING and do that same preocess.

  4. First relax. Then get a watch with a second hand, or a stopwatch.  Then put your first 2 fingers on the inside of the wrist and move them around until you can feel the pulse.  Then count how many times your pulse beats while keeping your eye on the watch and count for 15 seconds. Then when you have 15 seconds worth of pulse measurement just multiply it by 4 and you have your heart rate in beats per minute.

  5. why

  6. The best way to measure is to sleep with a heart rate monitor on.  Take reading 4-5 days in a row with the hrm as soon as you wake up and average the readings.  This is your true resting heart rate.

  7. It will be lowest if you do it when you wake up. Take your pulse for 15 seconds and multiply by 4.

  8. i agree with all of the above-take your pulse on your neck using your index and middle finger-

  9. FIND YOUR PULSE EITHER ON YOUR NECK RIGHT UNDER THE CHIN AND SLIGHTLY TO EITHER SIDE OF THE TRACHEA (a.k.a. windpipe) OR ON YOUR WRIST. BOTH AREAS REQUIRE YOU TO USE TWO FINGERS, PREFERABLY THE INDEX AND THE MIDDLE FINGER. NEVER USE YOUR THUMB BECAUSE THE THUMB HAS A PULSE AS WELL AND YOU WON'T GET AN ACCURATE COUNT. COUNT EACH TIME YOU FEEL YOUR PULSE AND DO THIS FOR SIXTY SECONDS. NOW THE COUNTING YOUR PULSE FOR SIX SECONDS AND MULTIPLYING THE NUMBER YOU RECEIVE BY TEN WORKS BEST AFTER INTENSE EXCERCISE TO TEST THE HEART RATE.

  10. dont know.
