Hey sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't.

What i'm after is that its not hard enough for a hard boiled egg and it's still got the orange-y colour, but it's not runny.

  1. Bed, Bath and Beyond - Run to this store and buy a little egg gadget that you put into the pot. It'll tell you the state of the egg as it boils. You watch the gadget and once it's reached the right stage, remove the egg. Trust me - it's easier than hunting for the right temperature and taking wild guesses.

The only other way is an egg cooker where you can select how you want the egg cooked.

    Good luck!

  2. Depends on the size and temperature of the egg.  I buy extra large (which look pretty darn small if you ask me) and keep them in a refrigerator at about 38 degrees.  I put the eggs in cold water, bring it to a boil, turn the heat down to low and set the timer for 6 minutes.  Soft yolk, white fully set.  For hard boiled I'd set it for 10 minutes.

  3. Well, three minute eggs are pretty runny and it takes about 10-15 for hard boiled, so I would say about 6-7 minutes should be about right.  Try it.  If it is not done enough then go to eight.

  4. depends how man eggs ur doing and do it in a small pot i would use about 4 eggs put the eggs in before it boils and set timer to 20 min it works perfectely
