How do you meet famous people?

I'm going to LA and i want to meet some famous guys without looking too much like a fan

My sister had a knack for always running into stars.She had many friends that worked in the studios, behind the sences sort of jobs, sound people, lighting etc. She would have her dates take her to expensive L.A. restaurants, that is where she usually saw the stars.

She used to always get back stage passes for rock concerts too.She was really into being seen with stars or being close to them, she would tell me about her adventures on a weekly bases.I was a stay at home mom and really wasn't all that interested expect the few times she did pick up concert tickets for me too.

She attened the Academy Awards once, sitting next to Peter O'Toole.

She even somehow made friends with the offical photographer for oneof the Stones concerts back in the 80's.She got hired to help him hold some photo stuff while he was shooting their pictures. She was right in their faces with the guy shooting photos but she said of course she had to be a pro and not do anything weird like go up to them .

She has passed since then and now for sure I never get any free concert tickets or get to hear any funny and strange stories.

Don't be too hopefull, I went to LA for a month, LA is a big place and I stayed in HOLLYWOOD even, I didn't see any celebs. I went to all the hottest places (Rodeo Drive, Big time restos, I stayed in the Hilton hotel even)

well, I would say GO to some of the hottest clubs, but they probably won't let you in because you have to be on lists. But if you walk around there at like 2 or 3 in the morning, you may see some spilling out. Also, if you see someone with a professional camera in hand, see where they are going (may just be a wedding though, lol). And probably airports.
