  1. I ue the double boiler method. I place the parrafin in a metal bowl that I set so it hangs on the lip of my pan with about 1 inch of water in the bottom pan. Turn the heat too medium and watch it. It will melt but you need to stir it around every few minutes with a toothpick or spoon. Clean the wax off the utensils and pan with a scraping device to prevent a harder cleanup later. If you don't want to clean up later, you can melt it inside of a clean and empty can such as a food or coffee can set inside the pan with the hot water.

  2. in a water bath or bain marie and do it slowly  or in a wax heater if it's to use as part of a manicure /pedicure and then let it cool before hand or foot immersed

  3. I have put mine in a small jar...then placed that jar in a bowl of water...then place in Microwave. The boiling water will melt the wax in the jar and you can pour it out of there. Just be careful....that jar and the water will be very hot....use an oven mitt to hold it.

  4. I always use double boiler to melt paraffin. also use a thermometer while melting it so you get it the right temp and don't burn it. highly flamable if overheated.

I would not ever use the microwave to melt it.

  5. Try shredding it and putting it in a double boiler
