Question:

How do you memorize atomic numbers?!?

I have a test tomorrow and no matter how much I look over these, I can't remember them! any tips?!

  1. Yeah my teacher is making us learn all of them too... I guess I basically go through and wrack my brain trying to somehow match the atomic symbol or the actual element name to the number... Like I read on a website, that Titanium (Ti) has the atomic number of 22, and it suggested 2200 passengers on the Titanic... =P It is actually an interesting site. It gives icons for each element, like little illustrative figures... (http://www.johnpratt.com/atomic/periodic.html) Some are ingenious. Anyways, I sat down the night before the quiz and just tried to think of the silliest ways to connect the atomic symbol or element name to the atomic number... That's the only thing I can suggest.
