  1. I've hung pictures and all sorts of art objects on brick walls for years using "Brick Hangers"... 4 for $10. No drilling, no hammering, no holes in your masonry.

Take a look at 'em here: http://www.improvementscatalog.com/home/...

They work great and when hanging items heavier than 25 lbs (I have two HUGE mirrors that're 40+ lbs each), just use more hangers. :-)

    Hope this helps,

  2. You could  use a concrete nail into the mortar to hand a small picture make sure to wear eye protection.  It really depend on the surface i.e is it painted.  They also make some hangers you can clasp on the the brick facing.

  3. You must use a masonry drill to hang a picture or anything on a brick wall. To anchor Bulldog anchors are good no matter where you drill a hole!

  4. Well-chewed Chewing gum. Preferably, strawberry flavored.

  5. First, drill a hole where you want to put the picture.   Second, put a plastic anchor in the hole.  You want to make sure the drilled hole is smaller than the anchor. Put the s***w into the anchor and then lightly tap into the mortar. When you put the s***w into the anchor, the anchor expands and will grab onto the mortar.  Make sure you drill into the mortar and not the brick.  If you change your mind later on and want to move the picture, just pull out the anchor and touch up the hole with some mortar later on

  6. Mason drill/ plastic inserts and s***w.  can't do it with anything else.
