I'm using windows XP and I wanna know how to move the icons on the desktop (*not the drag manually style*) coz i have a few wallpapers that i like and the design of the wallpaper is on the left side of the screen, and those icons are blocking the view of the design.

I saw some computers whose Icons are like...spread around the 4 sides of the monitor arranged properly...some are on the right ...how do I do that?

  1. Right click on the desktop, and highlight View.  Then select "Align to Grid".  Uncheck "Auto Arrange" and then you will be able to move them around wherever you want.

  2. Right click on the desktop, check the 'Align to Grid' option and uncheck 'Auto Arrange'. Now you can manually move them without having any error in position. When you  will drag now, windows will automatically adjust placing of icon in a nearest 32x32 pixels square block.
