  1. What exactly do you mean by your personal space? Your room? your cubby? your workspace? Or just standing too close to you? The easiest way around it is to back away. If they move forward, back away again. They'll get the message. Just make sure you don't back into a corner.....


  2. Nicely, I'm not sure.  I've been known to say "MOVE" if someone is in the way and not moving though.  :)

  3. I agree with the previous answer.  To be polite, I think that you should move away from them and they will get the message or insinuate that you would like to be alone or try to nicely end a conversation so that they will leave.

  4. work on some bad breath then start talking and breathing in their direction

  5. I step back. If they step closer I ask them not to stand so close.

  6. Lean back and say "Could you please back up?  You are so close I can't see you clearly."
