Start counting period cycle from the first day you see red..

e.g: 25Jun - 23Jul = 28days

the first day of full red bleeding (not spotting) is the first day. You count/chart all the days until the next time you get full red blood bleeding again.

CD1 (or cycle day 1) is the first day of bleeding. The last CD you count is the day BEFORE you start bleeding again.

Pretty simple! Just counting.
