Question:

How do you not tilt off your axis when spinning on a snowboard?

I go off ramps that curve upward very rapidly. Could that be it?

Also I'm usually tilting foward.

  1. u just have to try different ways of trying it and dont till forward


  2. If you haven't already, I would suggest starting with smaller ramps then slowing making your way to bigger ones. This way you learn how to balance yourself correctly and also practice landing a jump. If you want to spin come off the ramp on the edge you want to spin on then turn your head the same way. Grab the middle of your board with your hand to maintain balance then spot a landing and control your spin so you will land correctly. Good luck :)

If you are consistently off axis you should downsize to smaller jumps that don't have as much kick to them.  To stay on axis try to pop (push off with both feet equally) rather than ollie or nollie.  This will give you better alignment and stability.  If that doesn't work, seek the help of a certified instructor to take a look at your riding: there are so many things that be improved in body position that might be causing your problem.

  4. its all about where your looking.... to spin most riders lookover there shoulder while ther spinning, if you keep your head straight and not looking at your grab or anything else while spinng no more off axis
