How do you open a Microsoft Works file onto notepad?

Microsoft works is unavailable and i need to open this essay for school tomorrow. i am trying to open it in notepad, but it comes up in this weird font. it is like this (     

           þ) ,but it has some normal words too! how do i put it into normal times new roman 12 font?

  1. It will not work. download and install Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org. This will read any MS format document, you can then save it as any MS format for use back at school.


  2. try copy-pasting it into notepad and saving it there if it shows that wierd letters highlight it all and change to font to new times roman then save the notepad file. Sorry if I understood the question in a wrong way.

  3. Open it with Wordpad instead of Notepad. It's built into windows and is a rich text editor. Notepad is just a plain text editor.

    Start > All Programs > Accessories > Wordpad.

    You DON'T have to use Notepad...?
