How do you open a coconut and keep most of the milk?

Im doing this thing for my hair and i need coconut milk ( actually from the coconut not canned) and i was wondering if there was a way to open it and keep all of the milk!!

use a LARGE nail and a hammer (or a philips head screwdriver if you dont have a nail).... hammer the nail/s***w driver through each "eye" that is on the one end of the coconut, there is usually 3 large black spots on one end... stand it in a bowl of similar size that will keep it from rolling or falling over while you make the holes. then turn it over and let it drain in to the bowl

Use a nail and a hammer to make a small hole, then turn upside down over a large glass and wait to drain.

You either drill a small hole in it or you take a hammer and a nail to make a hole. Remember, though. Go slowly or else you may crack the coconut.

Drill or bore a hole out, drain and then use a chisel and hammer to open the nut.
