How do you open a conclusion paragraph ?

  First of all, do NOT start it with, "In conclusion..."  Your conclusion should sum up what you've been saying.  Imagine you're a reporter or a talk show host who has just presented a story.  In the last minute of the show  the camera is on you and you address your audience.  What do you say?

    e.g.     Mary Smith is a committed student.  She has devoted her academic career to preparation for Medical School.  Her dream of becoming a neurosurgeon will, undoubtedly, be realized if she continues to work as hard has she has been...

Just simply and smoothly reiterate your main points that you wrote about in the essay. It might also help if you used some of the stuff you used in your intro. paragraph..
