How do you open a pedistal sump pump when there are pipes connected to the top & bottom of it? Float is stuck

& we don't know how to access it when theres pipes on the top & bottom. Thanks for any help

You will have to cut the pipe. best to cut it on a short piece near a fitting. When you repair the pump, install a union with nipples to make up the length of pipe you cut. It's not as hard as it looks, good luck
