How do you open i 002 and so on file?

Question

I downloaded 13 different files to my comp and they all have .rar.001 .rar.002 and so on and so forth after their names. I tried to open them but they comp dont know what opens them and neither does the net. I read other questions on here tring to figure it out but i cant get it to work. One of the answers i read said to get rid of the numbers. well i got rid of the numbers and it became a winrar file but when i went to open it up there was nothing in it. i even downloaded and hjsplit software but it doesnt reconize them as split files so i dont know what to do anymore. when you answer could you leave your email incase i have any questions on the answer you give me. thanks,

you need a program called WinRAR. You can download a trail version from there website just google it. then open the first file with all of the files in the same folder, it will automatically extract them in order. have fun with what ever you most likely downloaded illegally

Ok well besides your lovely message you sent me, Winrar should work with files if they were split with winrar, by the way that you typed your words it sounds like they were. you have no reason to cuss me out when i gave you the answer that was perfectly logical with the information you provided. I use Rar regurally and most of the time thats how they are split and unsplit.

Okay yes i didnt have to add the illegal thing, but deal with it dont flame me. If putting them all in one folder and opening number one with hjsplit or winrar doesn't work, I have no idea how they are split OK?

hi scott what is it you are downloading there are some  very simple answers to this question ,

but if i knew what it was you are downloading or trying to it will help me give you the correct one.

is it a software application or something else...
