How do you operate a motorola minitor II fire pager?

what is the reset button for? and what is the difference between channel 1 ( main channel ) and the picture of the bell on the pager?

I can't remember the Minitor II, since I'm using a Minitor IV now.

Frequency One should be your personal departments tones only. The only time you will hear anything across that channel is when your departments tone is punched. You will get the message and it will go silent again.

Frequency Two let's you hear the tones and messages and any radio traffic on that frequency.

There should then be a volume button, squelch button and a repeat button.

I don't remember what the bell is for or a reset button.

The bell is your page channel. You won't hear any radio traffic until your department is paged out using their tones. Once the pager is toned, you will hear radio traffic for 15-30 seconds, and then the pager will reset. If it doesn't, hit the reset button. Channel one is open. Switch to it to hear all radio traffic constantly.
