How do you opt out of a Yahoo group?

I joined a christian hosting group and I get about 25 emails a day from this group. I could care less about all this stuff. I tried emailing the group itself but that didn't work either. Can someone help me with this.

  1. Hi there

You can edit your membership, there you can change to:

    Individual Email

The option to choose if you want to get each group message and special notice individually and immediately, as it is posted.

Put a check mark in the circle beside that and also in the circle beside this one:

Special Notices - Receive only important email notices from the group moderator.

If that does not work and you still want out of the group, right in the button of the page will say: Save changes, reset, leave group.

Click on leave group and fallow the prompts. Is easy.

    Good luck to you

  2. if you tried leaving and can only leave via the e-mail command, you'll need the help form- it's half broken

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

    if you can

go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the last column Leave Group, click small box - click save changes

  3. You could also send a blank email to:

    groupname-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com

  4. This always works for me when I leave a group:

Visit your group using the web.  You can click on Yahoo!Groups from the Yahoo! Home page or click on the "via web" link in the email message.

Click the "Edit Membership" link at the top of the page.

    Click the "Leave Group" link.

    Confirm on the next page.

The group will no longer be listed on the "My Groups" page, and you’ll no longer receive messages.

    Hope this helps.
