How do you order food in a pub? Do you order at the bar and wait until it arrives? Thanks for the help!?

Will be coming from the States, so I don't want to act like I don't know what I'm doing when I try to eat in a pub!

you sit at a table, you order your food at the bar, give them your table number and wait for it to come, but you have to pay for everything first

If you want to order food... you usually grab a table & your waitress will bring it too you.  The bar is mainly for drinks, unless you just sit at the bar & drink and eat there by yourself.

You can order food & drink at the bar and sit there if you're by yourself... if you want & there is space.
