Question:

How do you organise your chest of draws?

My chest of draws is doing my head in! I can't find any way of keeping it neat or organised!

I share it with my Fiance. Generally our day to day clothes are hung in the wardrobe and socks and undies go in our bedside table.

So everything else gets chucked in the chest of draws and is always a mess.

How do you organise your chest of draws and how to do you keep it neat?

  1. I organise ours and the kids drawers the same. Top drawer is knickers/jocks, vests and pyjamas. 2nd drawer is t-shirts and other tops. 3rd drawer is trackie pants, shorts and other pants and I hang up jumpers, jeans, skirts, shirts and good pants. Socks and tights are kept seperate in a basket.

  2. If the drawers are just filled with things, I usually put the heaviest things on bottom, and most used things on top.

Things like jewelry, earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets go in the top drawer.

Heavy things like souvenirs, coins, books, and less used things on the bottom drawer.

You could arrange by category though. Tools, jewelry, documents to keep, markers/pens/supplies, etc.

  3. top drawer is for things like perfume, knick nacks, important papers, religious books, jewelry, and such..

2nd drawer is undies and fine lingerie

    3rd drawer is folded shirts/blouses

bottom drawer is shorts/ and or socks/ pj's...

my bedside table is where I store eyeglasses, tv remote, books, contraception(lol) and whatever I want to hide from public view beside my bed...

  4. Top drawer--undies socks and bras

    Second drawer--pajamas

    Third drawer--t-shirts and sweats

    Fourth drawer--Jeans

Fifth drawer-summer stuff or winter stuff (depends on the season)

    Nightstand- misc. junk

  5. Top Right Drawer: Undies/Bras

Top Left Drawer: Socks and tights

    Second Level: Tee Shirts

    Third Level: Skivvys and jumpers

    Forth Level: Pjamas and Jeans/Leggings

    I hang up:

    My dresses

    Good Shirts

    Work Wear

    Some Pants

What I do to keep it clean is to make the time to fold up your clothes before you put them away. Don't keep clothes you don't need and ask your partner to do the same.

If you need anything else just e-mail me

  6. We keep our undies and socks and PJ's in the top drawers

    T-shirts in another

    Trackpants & shorts next

Jumpers or other out of season stuff in the bottom drawer

My kids have a drawer totally dedicated to school uniforms so they have no excuse not to be able to find them....lol...

Hubby has 1 sock drawer and 1 jocks/boxer drawer as he is domestically challenged....lol....

  7. I can relate - my drawers aren't that tidy

i try to have one drawer for ont thing and fold my clothes up before putting them in my drawer
