How do you organise your electronic Instrument's wires from becoming tangled mess or ugly pile?

Stepping into my Room looks like the server room of cable provider

I have about 6-8 power bricks (adapters)

about 4 headphones ( phone/ in ear, over the ear.. )

about 5-6 usb devices with usb cables and a 5.1 surround system with bunch of wires leading to inputs and speakers.

all this in a small home - work/den setup

how do i organise without spending much time untangling and concealing the wire mess.

the setup is not living room .. to connect and forget.. like the back of Tv, I keep connection and disconnecting stuff..

This is gonna sound kinda weird but the things girls use for their toe nails like the little racks the keep their toes pulled apart, I put the Cords in those and top the off with tape that is keeping them from tangling enjoy =]
