How do you deal with a poker player who doesn't think and just keeps calling and calling and calling, hoping to hit her "pair draw." (Unfortunately, she's kind of lucky.)

Seriously, how do you out think someone who doesn't think?

  1. Playing against calling stations is simple.  NEVER bluff them when you have nothing.  Remember, they will call with a lowly pair of 2s.  Just stick to playing premium hands and in the long run you will make money from them because the make the cardinal mistake in poker: calling when the pot odds say they should not.  They will stay in with the weak flush draw or bottom pair or gut shot straight draw, etc..

As long as they are willing to chase, make them pay.  Yeah, a couple of times they will make their miracle catch on the river but most of the time they will just be donating money to you.

  2. thats good coz when u get an awesome hand ( like full house or straight or flush" then you will get lots of money, chips or whatever u bet with otherwise fold till u get a good hand

  3. Reckless players are hard to read. Watch holdem on tv and watch the odds go for the sure win, sometimes gamble see if you can bluff her out!

  4. only play the sure-win hands where the odds are like 80% in your favor to win. Fold every chance you get. If you don't mind loosing some money first =)

  5. Fold when you don't think your hand is better, and occasionally, maybe even raise either to bluff, or for a real hand. If they continue to just call all the time, try going along with it, because eventually you may find out they're bluffing.

  6. u think

  7. What kind of poker are we talkin', here? If it's hold'em or anything like that, it kind of stinks to fold if you had to bet a blind. I'm a risk taker, so I would try to make everybody besides the non-thinker fold, and then keep raising until she backed out. But wait... If she doesn't think, she would never think to back out... Hmm...
