  1. well just through the ball up really high and hit it, to set make sure your finger are straight but be carfull to not break your finger good luck

  2. I'm not an expert, but I do play. When you overhand serve, you take the opposite hand you write with, and stretch it in front of yourself. Place the volleyball (I'd start with a volleyball light) in your palm and let it rest there. Take a step with the opposite side you write with and swiftly swing the ball up (you might want to practice making the ball right in front of you). When the ball is an arms lengthaway from your head (maybe higher) jump up and swing with the arm you write with at the ball. Voila! You have done an overhand serve!

  3. im not really good at explainin the serving but its just like if you were to throw a ball, except you hit it.  if you want you can throw the ball over the net at warm-ups to make sure you can get it over...

    setting

most of the time you want to face the person you're setting up.

k, then have the foot closest to the net a little bit ahead of the other foot.

position your hands above your forehead, with your thumb and pointer almost touching.  so that there's a triangle window above you.

when the ball's coming you want to push up with your legs and extend your arms, hitting the ball on the pads of your fingers

be sure to keep stiff fingers, and dont bend your wrists, like you would if you were shooting a basketball.

  4. well first of all this isnt to put you down but if you have nevr played v-ball before then you need to start out with the underhand serve.

but if you have played before on a team, then well its hard to explain.

setting is also hard to explain. to show you the two things would mean seeing you in person, and i cant do that. sorry :(

    hope i helped!!

  5. over hand serves:

when serving over hand, i usually toss the ball high in the air and a little bit in front of me. this forces me to have to take an extra step and throw my whole body into it. you could try that. if power is the problem, try weight lifting or working out your upper body strength.

    setting:

when you set, you want the ball to be right above your forehead. you position your hands like you're about to cup the ball. it's kind of like you're looking at the ball through a triangle window your thumbs and pointer finger make. once you have the ball in your hands quickly push it out with your legs. use your shoulders to direct and aim. if you want a higher set, try jump setting. do all the stuff with the hands, but when you contact the ball, just jump.

  6. overhand servee

    1. line the ball up with your serving shoulder

    2. toss it up high

    3. bring your serving arm back like a bow and arrow (your hand will be by your ear)

    4. keep a stiff hand, and hit it when your arm is stretched out at its furthest

    5. step into it, it gives you more power.

    set

    1. put your foot closest to the net a little ahead of the other

    2. put your hands above your forehead, cushion the ball, like a trampoline

    3. lift with your legs and push straight out until your arms are fully extended!

ALWAYS HAVE THE FOOT CLOSEST TO THE NET IN FRONT OF THE OTHER BECAUSE IF NOT YOU'LL END UP SETTING FOR THE OTHER TEAM.
