  1. Try and find a homeopath that specialises in allergies.

They can make up a remedy with dog fur that will help build your immunity to the dog. You can take your own dogs fur in or take in a few different samples of fur.

Ive seen remarkable results from this.

    Good Luck.

  2. Stay around them.If you stay around dog then evantually your body will get used to them and everything will be fine.

  3. Hi, if your allergic reactions are not life threatening, there are steps you can take to reduce the symptoms so you can finally bring home a dog:

Establish an 'allergy free' zone in your home, and do not allow your dog into that area; the bedroom is usually the best room for this. Install a High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter (HEPA) in the room. You can find these at almost any department store or home and garden store, or online. Purchase impermeable covers for your mattress and pillows so that allergen particles carried in on clothes and by other means cannot accumulate on them.  For more tips,  here's the link:

  4. Go to a dermatologist, a specialized doctor.

  5. Rikki is correct, you can get allergy shots that slowly reduce your allergic reactions over 2 years.  You get the shots monthly from your doctor and they are the only permanent solution.  My niece had them as she was allergic to cats and she is a vet now.

  6. Have you tried the Schnauzer, they don't moult, and as such would have a very low allergy rating?

  7. is it there fur you are alleric to, is so then get a labradoodle. they dont shed and they are great for people who have allergies against dog fur

  8. Well, I have allergies as well! And I asked a few vets here and there. They tell me that I am allergic not to the fur but the dander(it kinda like doggie dandruff). So, they suggested that they at least be washed in special dander shampoo.

Also, exposure to dogs can also strenghten the immune system. But overexpose yourself or you'll end up either sneezing your head off or scratching your skin insanely!

    Remember:

A little goes a LONG way!

  9. Allergies can't be cured, but with proper meds they can be controlled.  See your Dr.- you may have to try more then one med until you find the one that works best for you.

  10. I buy Zertec from the chemist. i have really bad allergies with dogs and cats but i take 1 Zertec a day and i have a dog and a cat now as pets

  11. try an antihistamine such as piriton alternatively visit your doctor who can advise in more detail.

  12. shots! My step dad takes one shot a week. It helps him with dogs! Unlike pill medicine this is a long time effect. In a year maybe your body will have full tolerence. But over the monthes you will keep getting better!
