  1. oh I was told this by a company that do this...apparently you paint it and when the paint is kind of still wet you mark it with random lines or something...or even with the paintbrush....hope this helps:)

  2. I don't know about a "french" look.. but to get a worn look. I paint it like white.. after it's dry.. sand it down.. more in some places.. til you get to the wood in different places & such..

  3. Well you first get sand paper and sand the wood down. Make sure its smooth.

Now you can use varnish or white wood paint, both work good to privide the effect. Pref white paint will be the best. Now dab abit of the paint or varnish to your brush.

Brush the wood with the least amount of paint or varnish you can.

This proved an effect of worn out.

At the end you can use a very weak sand paper to smooth down, but very gently and slighlty

This makes the wood look very worn out and natural

  4. after the first coat of paint has dried then paint the furniture with crackle glaze, when that dries paint it again and the top coat of paint will appear worn

  5. I am not sure if you are meaning a distressed look, but if so, paint a darker color underneath (red), and paint a coat of white or cream, or whatever you like, on top after it has dried.  After it has dried well use sandpaper in areas to give it a distressed look.

  6. after you paint, you are supposed to sand it with fine sandpaper
