  1. angel hair or thin pasta like vermicelli w/ the light sauces, like marinara----thicker pastas w/ the thicker sauces.

  2. I'm sure there is some "right" way of doing it, but I just kinda go by taste and from reading a lot of recipes/food websites.

Follow the link below to Ronzoni's website and click on each pasta, it tells you which sauce pairs best with that particular pasta.

    Hope I helped :)

  3. Thick White sauce goes with Spaghetti

Red sauce goes with spiral spaghetti

    Cheese goes with Macroni

  4. thick sauces go with spirals and bow ties, where thinner and creamier sauces go with strand pasta like spaghetti and linguini. in my opinion. Also I always make seafood with strand pastas- don't know why its just how i do it- i think its all up to personal tastes and whats hanging round the house!

  5. You put chunky type sauces with smooth pasta types. It's simple, if you think about it, the thin sauces like napli and similar are better suited to pastas with ribs, like penne, or spirals so that it helps to hold some sauce when you go to eat a piece. The smoot pasta doesn't need help to be stuck to the chunky sauce.
