I used to manage a Chili's - the best way is to visualize the food on the plate - the one thing Chili's does well is present the food.  If you can visualize you can rattle off the ingredients.  Secondly, there are many "patterns" in the Chili's food - ounces, quantity, etc.  Figure out the pattern and half the work is done.  Finally, HAVE FUN!  If you're not having fun, you're not a CHILIHEAD!
