  1. concentration is important. if you make any mistakes, forget   them imediatley and focus on what the examiner tells you to do next ,after all it  could only be a minor mistake.good allround observation, correct signalling and timing is important (not too early ,not too late) good lane dicipline (make sure you are in the right lane early enough when at roundabouts) always remember to check your blindspot before pulling away (especially if you are doing a hill start or if the examiner asks you to pull over for a moment  and then pull away) do not coast .and always remember the two second rule.if you encounter any large vehicles (busses or lorries) always give them plenty of room as they cant see you in there mirrors so stay back. the examiner is only looking for a safe drive .passing the driving test is just to say that you are competent in the basic skills of driving. only when you pass does the real learning start and never stops.

  2. Get the stydy guide and study.  All the test questions come right out of the book.

  3. ok here we go, lol, ok pratice your hand signals (right, left.stop) make sure all our lights and horn work, and your windshield wipers, um as for the driving part, depending on how much experience you have, just practice the basic, backing up, stopping in a emergancy, dont speed, um, oh definitly practice ur parralel parking! i think that s sbout it. i hope it helps!

  4. Practice, practice, practice!! Especially parallel parking.  That stumps up a lot of people.  Also make sure to stop BEFORE the line at lights, stop signs etc...and DON'T speed.  You will fail every time if you speed.

  5. take your time, pay attention and don't allow for distractions.  It doesn't take much to pass the drving test (just look at all the idiot drivers out there!)

Don't be afraid to ask questions even during the driving test if you are unsure of something; instructor will appreciate honesty above being unsafe.

Don't even worry about parallel parking--I failed that part too and passed with flying colors.

Concentrate on the main of driving: SAFETY and follow that rule forever  And above all, pack your nervousness into a little wad and forget about it  :-D

  6. Safe driving tips to help pass your road test:

STEERING Steer smoothly whether you are driving straight ahead, turning or backing up.

ACCELERATION Accelerate smoothly and moderately. Don't race the engine or cause it to stall.

BRAKING Bring the vehicle to a stop gently. Start braking well before your stopping position to avoid "jerky" stops. Make sure you stop your vehicle in the proper position of the lane.

CLUTCH/GEAR Always be sure your vehicle is in the correct gear. With either an automatic or a manual transmission, shift into the proper gear at the right time without "grinding" the gears.

SPEED Obey the posted speed limit, of course, but also adjust your speed properly due to weather, road, visibility and traffic conditions.

FOLLOWING DISTANCE Keep an adequate space "cushion" between your vehicle and those you are following. Use the "two second rule" described in the Driver's Manual. Be sure to increase your following distance in poor weather or visibility.

TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Know the meanings of signs, signals and pavement markings, and obey them consistently.

STOPPING POSITION If a stop is required, stop your vehicle before it reaches an intersecting street. If stop lines or crosswalks are present, stop before crossing them. If your view is blocked after stopping behind the crosswalk, move up until you can clearly see your way, then stop again if necessary.

LANE SELECTION AND POSITION Keep your vehicle in the proper traffic lane, especially when preparing to make turns. Don't allow room for another vehicle to pass you on the side that you are turning toward.

COMMUNICATION Let other drivers and pedestrians know which way you want to go. Use your directional signals or horn consistently and at the proper times.

OBSERVATION Look for and identify potential problems or hazards in the traffic around you - not just straight ahead, but behind you and on either side. Check your mirrors frequently, but be sure to look over your shoulder behind you when changing lanes or backing up.

ANTICIPATE & REACT TO OTHERS Anticipate possible driving errors by others and be ready to react safely to make up for their mistakes.

  7. practice!

  8. Read the booklet that the DMV gives you, and study it. Be safe and pay attention, stop behind the crosswalks not on them when you are at a red light to make your right hand turn, then if no pedestrians inch forward till it is safe to go. Thats a mistake i made.

  9. Get lots of practice and practice the way your Instructor advised you.....in a safe manner...

Listen to your Examiner and do the best you can. Don't wave at anyone. That will distract you (and them too maybe). Keep your hands on the wheel, focus on what the Examiner is asking you to do. They are observing you and reporting on that test sheet. Don't try to look at the test sheet. It will cause you to become distracted and you might make a mistake.

Know your rules of the road, always shoulder check, check your rear view mirror often and whenever you brake, scan well ahead of you. Stop behind the line/crosswalk, not ON it. Watch that traffic light, and if you are behind that white line when the light turns yellow, and you are intending to turn left or right, you must stop. It's better to stop even if you are just over the crosswalk because you will only get demerits for that. You will fail if you continue making your turn on a yellow light.

Remember always STOP fully and completely.

Get out and drive and become comfortable making lane changes, left turns at lights and develop your observation skills.

If you don't pass the first time, it's only a deferred success because you will eventually pass...........Luck is when preparation meets opportunity, and so I wish you GOOD LUCK!!

  10. listen to the teacher
