I am making a wedding photoboard of me and my fiance. I bought a stylish corkboard, and now I'm trying to find a way to pin our photos to the board without ruining them. Any ideas? I'm trying to figure out a way to pin them on or stick them on that doesnt involve plain old thumbtacks. Does anyone know where to buy cool thumbtacks?

I want to have our baby pics in opposite corners and then progress to the present day in the middle. (kinda like our two lives joining into one... I know its sappy). any cool ideas that would help?

  1. Rubber cement. It's not a permanent bond but it will hold the pictures up there. You can peel off the pictures anytime and the cement will just rub off without doing any damage.

  2. Try using magnets on a magnetic board. That wouldn't affect he pictures.

  3. a thumbtack would ruin the pic with holes. Try to buy some cement glue and just stick it on the back. ti doesnt mess up the photo. and then you can put a cool design on your pic.try Elmer's (the glue)you should be able to find it at a dollar store, or everyneed store. hope i helped

  4. If you want to use the corkboard, here are two suggestions:

You can push the pins right next to the corners of the photo so that the "head" of the pin holds the photo in place, that way there is no hole in the photo.

You can make a grid of ribbon over your corkboard by laying them out in a pattern you like and attaching them with pins at the edge of the corkboard. You place your photos under the taught ribbon and it will hold them in place. You can buy coordinating ribbon.

For pushpins, you can paint them to match your them. Also, at Target during various times of the year they will have decorative pins in the office section.... You can also buy the flat ones and glue something to it to match your theme (button, bead, metal charm...)

If you want to use a piece of metal, you can always use magnets to hold the photos on. And again, Target carries various decorative ones throughout the year.

Hope this helps. Congrats and best of luck.
