How do you place many items at once on a building or furniture when building in My Sims for the Nintendo Wii?

There was a tip or prompt given after I got the first star for the town but I don't remember what it said. I believe it said that I had to hold down a button or something but alas, none of the buttons that I have been holding down seem to work! It's getting annoying and taking a lot longer that it should because I am having to get a new block or window or something of the sort to build with over and over and over again!

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking what button to hold to use the same block more than once?

Hold down B to copy the block.
