How do you place the seat hight on a BMX bike?

Question

For a road bike, the height is measured by being able to full extend your legs while peddling. What about on a BMX bike?

well if you plan to do tricks on it you may wont it about were you knees and are when stand up when the pedals are level. Some bmx riders like there seat as low as it can go so they don't hit it when doing a trick but you can have it whatever height you like

It's whatever you are comfortable with.  I personally keep my seat slammed [as far to the top tube as possible].  Many flatland riders choose to keep their seat higher, while street and vert keep it lower.

It is easier to learn barspins with your seat between your knees at your riding position so you can pinch it when you throw the bars.

Just try different positions and find one that suits you best, there is no real answer.
