The best way to celebrate Independence day is to remember particularly on this day all great personalities who suffered & sacrificed their lives for our independent future. On this day we must tell our children about the stories of great patriots & martyrs. Prime minister Speech must be heard because it conveys national plannings, achievements & also pay tributes to our country. We should listen patriotic songs & eat sweets too.

and also taking oath that we will remove all the torrisum from the country

after attending flag hoisting ceremony, i will do distributing chocolates to the poor children from my locality. i will as always do to encourage youngsters to attend the programme of hoisting of flag so that they should know the importance of independence after knowing the sacrifice of our great and real heroes of India. best way to celebrate this national festival is that we should not fight each other and respect other's emotions, religion and the way of their respective life. it will be a good reply to the enemies of our brotherhood, harmony and integrity trying to create tense between us.

The best way to celebrate Independence Day is to watch the parade by school kids on the streets , on a large scale , with colorful flags and trumpets blowing , and the drum beats going left right left ....air force flying in the sky exhibiting different aviation skills ..

The passion of independence must be experienced at Wagha border ..its feels great to be there.Must feel that atmosphere atleast once.

I would like to celebrate the 61st Independence Day with the family at home by remembering all those brave heroes & many unsung heroes, who fought over the years to get independence. And I hope all the unsung heroes also get their share of tribute by at least remembering them on this day by the people of the nation, without who's sacrifices we would not have been free & celebrating independence. I would play & hear the songs of Lata Mangeshkar's song ' Ay mere watan ke logo zara akha me bharloo pani ' & Vande Mataram new song ' Yehesas thoda jagai ' to pay my homage to each one of them.

India has finish its 60th year of independence and entered in the 61st one but even now the poor people are poor and rich are getting more rich.  this all is just because of corruption prevailing in India.

the ministers are so corrupted that they dont even mind in snaching a  choclate from a small childs hand

People have to go to other countries to find jobs earn living

We are on the verge of becoming super power & we will be there if we click the right buttons & use our resources optimum & effectively. To pray for india is not the way but we have to implement what has been said in the prayer to make it work for us. ya nice question.i would like to celebrating this independence day wit the great victory of abhinav binra in bezeeing olympics.He got gold medal in shooting after 25 years he created a great victory not for him.That victory for all indians and greeted to him in front of all honourble ministers.All people are celebrating the independence day in front of their schools ,offices or other places that is vip ares.all  are greated each other and hosting the flag but one and only dynamic hero hosting the flag not in our country he hosted the flag in bezeeing olympics at that time in all indians hearts not like "lub dub"sound.at that time that sound occur in the indian hearts are"IM AN INDIAN".i love my country.[ANY HOW IM THANKFUL TO OUR ABHINAV BINDRA]

According to me, Our Indian Independence is attained with a very great difficulty and the Martyr's behind this scene should be appreciated greatly now and years to come.

Think your conscience will definitely permit that you are proud Indian that your fore-fathers have really suffered in that bonded slavery or any other massacres.

Thanks to the British Government for having given that opportunity for Indian to really prove and attain their Independence.

I shall see alongwith my family members flag ceremony and listen to speech of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India to be relayed over televisions from historic Red Fort of India and see the gathering around there. Pray for peace to the souls of freedom fighters. I shall have sweets with my family members and friends. I shall pray for Unity, Peace, Prosperity and long life of every human being living in universe and pray for unity and long life of UPA government to continue to serve the human beings in all walk of life. according to me we should teach our children to actual meaning of independence not only a one day leave from school . we should teach them about freedom fighter who fought for aazadi not for kursi . As that time our leaders fight for kursi or vote. on that time J & K is a burning example for this and last week our centre govt is also suffering from this. If we made a PM from left party they can never left the hand of m congress.Our freedom fighter fought for country .they can never pay for this but this time our leaders increase their pay in three times in ten years. they can never walk out from lok sabha because the opposition always walk out. we should learn from our past and live in present and hope for future because the children our future. we should learn them on ground not only on paper.

Our ancestors, the freedom fighters and the national leaders sacrificed their life for the freedom of our country which we are enjoying today. But, still, somewhere I feel the slavery is still persisting. I am a government employee and on the Independence Day I would like to celebrate by completely feeling free from deep inside like a free bird flying at great heights above the earth, touching the skies.

Independence day has become another holiday. Holding a flag or participating in an event just because you are compelled is not the right attitude.

Government should consider making Independance day a working day and the schools/companies, stipulated to stage patriotic shows/films and encourage group activities.

As for me, if I dont have the right company to hang out, as above; i would prefer to spend time with my family.

"JASN-E-AAZADI" Do we really have the right to celebrate Independence Day.... with so many sleeping hungry, with corruption rampant even to get the body of dead from a mortuary, corruption to perform last rites, corruption in humanitarian grants, where votes of a lay-man are brought and sold, ... where MP's are for sale ...... where the judiciary's bastion are being hammered, ..... where a population of 1 billion and crores of rupees spent but getting a GOLD at Olympics is like a dream acheivement .... Nothing to write home about, except curse the political system , which, even after six decades of independence, has not taken forward the country to be even a patch of neighbouring China.The Indians with brain power and vision are either reluctant or prevented to enter dirty politics or fly away to greener pastures, where they are recognised. Every year, I just sing the National Song with Saluting the Tiranga(national flag) and Wish to keep our nation without any corruptionists and make our India as sone ki chidiya with strong hold on world activities.

I visited many countries, they have proper system of government. India is also a Good nation but i think all the government peoples are corrupted. some for money and some for post.

I am working with Engg.college & reside in Girls Hostel. This day myself with all Girls students & wardens assemble the terrace of hostel's building for hoisting a National Flag, then we all sings a National Anthem & Petriotric song. After that we all goes to college for celebrating Independence day at college.

Two ways.

One , to put aside the instant "negative' feelings  that  I have  of India. Corruption , lawlessness, caste and religious divides etc. There are so many positive sides I can think of .. Intelligent people,  tremendous capacity to survive ,  high cultural awareness ... to name afew.

Secondly, this Independence day I will pledge to help some underprevilaged people in their education , health or empowerment.

it is not enough that I have a few sweets , raise the flag  , sung national anthem and disperse.

No. because, if you want to make any decision we want to beg with the officials and politicians.  whether this is an independence.  when every indian thinks that every human being has their own value then you think about the indepedence.

What are we independent of? We are still dependent on the system created by the RAJ but now driven by our fellow countrymen who perpetrate hatred and violence and make us to fight against each other like wild animals.Should we celebrate that we are now ruled by people like Taslimuddin, Shahabuddin, and likes of Vinay Katiyar who are the products of the system borrowed from RAJ.So, I will keep praying whole the day as how to get rid of the system we never feel tired of eulogising as the best system of governance in the world.

I will prefer to celebrate the independence day by giving some sweets and other things such as blankets, etc. in the OLD AGE HOME or to the poor people who are in a real need to HELP and they are worth for your HELP. I will go to the slum area and try to solve thier problems in the rainy season by giving them some lessons about the DISASTER MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS.
