We're having a bbq, going to the parade, watching the fireworks.

We're also sending out a couple thank you letters to veterans and soldiers in Iraq.  If anyone wants to brighten a soldier's 4th of July, there's an article on eHow about how to include them in your festivities.

Usually, we have a cookout and then go watch fireworks. This year, however, I will be flat on my back in a hospital bed. I'm scheduled to have major back surgery on the 3rd. :( Good news is...I'll be so doped up I won't even know I'm missing anything...lol

Edit: Thank you O'Really. I appreciate that. I'm sure I'll be fine. Anything is better than how I feel now..lol.

Edit...again!: Yeah, I know how that is! My mom is visiting me in the hospital. To say we don't get along is an understatement. I guess I'll be glad for that medicine pump. I'll probably wear that baby out while she is visiting! My thumb will have a callous! roflmao!

I will probably go to the parade in town and to the fireworks later; I don't know what my brother is doing or has planned for that day. If he's free we might grill out at his and his wife's place.
